Econ Wars runs two things: national economics olympiads, and Case Lab — a live two-hour event where teams argue a real policy question on stage. Free to enter, verified certificates, real rankings.
A room, a question with no settled answer, and papers to argue from. Teams of five get thirty minutes to build a case, then defend it on stage. The most convincing one wins — a judge decides.
Is borrowing more money making sub-Saharan Africa poorer? And should the DRC be building batteries rather than exporting cobalt?
The topic goes up in the channel about five days before. Everything else happens on the day.
